Learning & Inspiration

Programming is both my profession and my passion — I'm currently reading Learning React: Modern Patterns for Developing React Apps (O'Reilly) and drawing inspiration from the UI Breakfast podcast by Jane Portman. I also sharpen my skills with Frontend Mentor challenges and NodeSchool.io workshops, which keep me focused on building better, user-centered systems.

Hobbies

Outside of work, I make it a priority to stay active and creative in different ways. I enjoy spending time at the gym and going on bike rides, which help me recharge and keep a clear mind. Music is also a big part of my life — whether I'm coding, relaxing, or working out, I'm often listening to some of my favorite artists like The Marías, Eyedress, and Mac Miller.

What I'm building

At work

At First Washington Realty I ship internal tools and customer-facing products. Recent highlights include:

  • Appraisal Extraction pipeline — turned a multi-hour manual workflow into something that runs in minutes.
  • SitePlans — a Next.js platform for interactive property mapping.

On my own time

I still reach for side projects when I want to try an idea end to end—usually the same stack I use professionally, but with room to experiment.

What keeps me hooked is not just shipping features, but tightening the loop: measure what breaks or slows people down, then replace it with something that holds up in production.
